car: 89 crx hf, with d15b
problem: not starting
WTF: ?
i started the car to drive it to get it inspected, and i stopped at a stop light and i went to go in first gear like normal, and the car cut off...it didnt make any noises, or show any signs of stalling or sputtering or anything..i went to start it back up b/c i thought i stalled but i didnt stall out, i tried jumping it, popping the clutch, and all that shit..the car will turn over, but will not start...i found the alternaotr bolt that hold the power wire to the alternator, was loose, but i tightened that and it still didnt start..?it will turn over and has plenty of voltage to start but nothign happens..

i checked the fuses, and wiring under the hood, nothing is disconnected, and no fuses are blown (under hood and dash), i smell fuel when i take the dip stick out, so i kno there is fuel, but i tried to check the spark by taking the wire off the plug, and gettign close enought to the valve cover, to see the spark jump, but i didnt see that...maybe i wasnt close enought to the valve cover or whatever but..the distributor is sorta new, and the plug wires are new, and the spark plugs are brand new...10 miles on them..
i chjecked the ecu plugs, all are plugged in, nothing is loose..so


and the motor is a jdm d15b from HMO with approx 35k miles..any wayz...

if you have any suggestions or advice on what to check...please let me know asap...the car is pissing me off

the car has been running fine, someone came and test drove it, and everything, and it used to start up fine on the first try, and now it wont start at all..

please help..

 

Check compression and for leaks.

 

no leaks, and why would the compression be bad, i jsut got this bitch from HMO not 1 month ago

i think god is smiting me today...i worked at a church cutting down trees today, and i said god dang, not dang but the other d-word, any wayz...so i think thats why this pos isnt running...

try a different distributor. i got a single cam vtec zc, pretty much tha same thing u got and i had to put a differnet distributor on mine to get it to fire .

 

im trying that tom...when its light outside...


i have the dizzzy that came with the motor...hopefully that will work..

i have a z6 on it right now...ill try the p08 dizzy...so
