89 b16 hatch.. wont start....why?
heres the deal, my buddy has an 89 b16 hatch , battery relocated in the rear, while hes driving he noticed a spark in the rear of the car, so he turned the car off and checked it out, he didnt find any thing so he started the car up, and when he did it sparked again and cut off. now when he trys to start it he gets nothing-no power at all, he is getting power to the starter and the alternator, but the car will not even begin to turn over............any help would be great........thanks

Could be a bad ground, could also be shorting out his power wire. But why do people relocate batterys in a front wheel drive car. You want the weigh on the front tires, why move the battery to the rear?
