I have a 87 honda accord that needs a new motor. I blew the motor and I would like to do a motor swap but i haven't seen any post or threads on the internet that had any info on which motor to put in a 87 accord hatch. Any help would be much appreciated? I've had this car for 6 yrs and i don't want to give it up. Oh and its a 5 speed, tranny is new clutch is new just needs a motor.

Having it for 6 years is even more reason to give it up. I don't know if I've ever owned a single car for over 6 months.

 

but this was my high school grad present and i own it. its the only one that i'm not making payments on right now. so i would like to restore it and sale my other car.

 

what's wrong with the engine you have now?

 

the timing is off and some other stuff. i think my dad messed it up when he tried to fix the timing
