how? why? bought it from a friend this way, who thought it threw a rod. car was doing 60 or so, and bam, locked up, somethiung hit the ground and went out the back(so claimed). i see no holes, no obvious damage. i still have to remove the oil pan, that will happen this weekend. but can yall think of something that would cause an engine to lock slam the @#*! up, while still haveing a good oil level, clean oil, no holes in the block, no oil light came on, no drop in pressure...maybe the timing belt broke, or the starter locked up completely. but the belt would make it freewheel, not lock it up, and the starter hadnt been having any problems. i guess i take the oil pan off, if nothing seems out of place, iill try removing the starter, see if the thing is locked up from the motor, or itself. any suggestions, throw them out.
