What all is needed and what all needs to be done to get a 6 bolt into a 2g. What will bolt up as far transmision and thing of that nature are concerned? The motor is out of a 93 talon awd and the motor is going into a 95 tsi fwd. Sorry if this a rewrite which it probally is but i didnt see any.

 

First off are you positive that the engine coming out of the 93 is a 6 bolt? They switched from the 6 bolt to the 7 bolt engine in mid-92 I believe. For the answer to your original question, check out www.vfaq.com as it has the best writeups for DSM's..I used to rely upon them heavily when I first began modding my DSM a long time ago. Hope the swap goes well, it's always good to see another running DSM on the road!

 

6 bolt motor, 2G accessories. Use 2G motor mount, cut timing cover as needed. Rewire cas, have OBDII scanner in passenger seat to clear random misfire code when it comes up, or get DSMlink, etc, to solve the ECU issue properly.
