Default 3rd gen Teg with a B16?

Okay, maybe I'm just missing something in my thought processes...or maybe I'm just ignorant...

BUT, can anyone explain to me why someone with a 3rd gen Integra would swap in a B16. Thank you.

It would be cheaper to buy just a b16 head and ECU and build an LS/VTEC that would be faster.
there is no good reason to do this swap unless your car got stolen and stripped, or you had to write off an entire engine.

I do want VTEC...but I was talking to this local guy and he said he ran a 3rd gen Teg with a turbo B16...it just kind of strikes me as odd...

If I had to guess I would say he was talking out his ass, or didn't know what he had, or maybe was just confused.

why do a G3 teg with a turbo B16? would it be faster then a G3 teg with a turbo LS/vtec? nope.
I did see an ITR on Ebay with a B16, but it had been stolen and stripped.

This is my assumption, too...I mean, I now the B16 can be beast, but why downsize...I just don't get it...
