350z transmission help
Ihave a 2005 350 z enthusiasts model with a six speed manual. My tranny makes a noise as if the throw out bearing is bad. It makes the noise when the clutch is halfway depressed . I don't know whether it is my throw out bearing or my input shaft bearing. I'm praying for throw out bearing. Also I need some one that is good with these transmissions . I have a full shop with lift and all air tools I just don't know much about transmissions. I hope to hear some input..

Sounds like the throwout bearing, or maybe the pilot bearing. An input bearing usually makes noise when it's under load.

The throwout bearing is usually the culprit, so always assume it's that one instead of the input bearing. Think optimistic. 
If you keep the clutch depressed (disengaged) while sitting at stoplights, the throwout bearing can tend to wear out quite a lot faster because spends a lot more time under load. The pressure plate fulcrum ratio and spring pressure can also affect bearing wear quite a bit, as can the quality of the bearing obviously.

JWT (Jim Wolf Tech) was the last clutch I run on my G35. The clutchmasters FX300 was the one I had before. Both are good in IMO. What are you going to do about the flywheel? Dual mass flywheels are not easily re-surfaced and most places will tell you no.

I guess I will get a new flywheel. I was going to take it to a machine shop and get it resurfaced

those trans' are easy to remove and install should be on the ground in 30 minutes or so, remove the y pipe, drive shaft, shifter bracket and bottom shifter bolt, starter, trans mount, body tie bar, slave cylinder, then the bellhousing bolts including the bracket on the other side for the blank starter hole and the hidden bolt above the starter on the passenger side that goes in from the engine side.
this is one of the easiest transmissions to remove and install.
