so im picking up a 240 and i want to know whats all involved and some extra info on doing eaither a sr20 swap or a rb26dett swap i know i could have googled it but i know there's alot of 240 owners on this site with first hand know how. any info will gladly help....thanks

Use the search feature the site provides or check out some 240 based forums. Duh.

 

You need to decided what engine you will want. S13 SR or S14 SR? Also can you wire it your self? Its not hard to wire an s13 sr and all the info is online. The RB26 will be a waste of money and time. Too much to mod for little gain other engines could give you.

+1 for what Danny said. RB's are novel but parts are not abundant or cheap so for similar bang for buck with a lot more convenience do an SR.

yea, im good at wiring work and what is the diffrence between a s13 sr and a s14sr?

 

s13 t25 brush bearing turbo

S14 t28 ball bearing turbo, flanges on the intake mani are different

there are a few other differences but the MAIN one is the turbo.
