iv own 97 civic was running with b16a2 from 2000 si i replace the engine with 97 b18c now the problem with the car running rich i'm getting black smoke from tail pipe and misfire and the spark plug are getting black i did research what i found, i need to replace the gas regulator or map sensor or o2 sensor, all ready replace the gas regulator still the same< now i'm using p28 chipped and i'm using the b16 header with b16 o2 sensor that may be the problem? also the b18 c comes with xtra sensor on the intake manifold it's not plug i don't know what is for please help thanks

Its highly likely that your chipped p28 does not have the correct tune for your setup.

there is no way you are using a b16 header on a b18c, the deck height of the b16 is shorter than the b18's, and does not fit properly...

i think you have more problems than running rich...
