1996 Honda Civic Misfire Problems #2,#4 & random misfire

Default 1996 Honda Civic Misfire Problems #2,#4 & random misfire

So my cars throwing a couple codes misfire on cylinder #2,#4 and random misfire the car runs at normal rpm then drops then normal then drops then it ends up shutting off ive change my rotor button,spark plug wires and check to make sure the ignitions firing all plugs are firing i checked the timing and it on time when its at normal rpm when it drops it seems to go out of timing range anyone have a clue what this could be?

Check your compression at each cylinder. Also do a leakdown test. Sometimes the Honda ECU will read low compression or a bent valve as a misfire. I have seen this before with bent valves that cause the compression test to read low, and the ECU was throwing misfire codes.

Would that cause it to idle erratically?My next step imma getting ready to try is pull the injectors.

Turned out to be a hole in one of my intake valves in cylinder #4
