why not just use the s2 composite manifold? accuracy1 have you installed/tried one yet? curious as to if they crack under extreme heat like the old mustang composite manifolds did

Two reasons I can think of.......One the IMG's are only $50, while that IM would probably be close to $1k.
The next reason being, these things (IMG's) exist, and the manifold does not. Atleast, it better not, cuz they said I could test a K series one on my race-car.

they do, and theyre not that expensive anymore. But for the price the hondata manifold gaskets probably do a great job at insulating the manifold from heatsoak. Theyre already out for bseries engines, they're just not selling directly because just like the fuel rails, they have to fill all their vendor orders first. But given the manifolds unproven reliability(I used to play email tag with a tech working on the engineering part of their composite line, they had to try many, many different thermoplastic formulas and frankly I'd wait and let others test the water first, their warranty service isnt all that great). All in all I think the IMG's that are designed to insulate the mani from contact heat like the hondata is, is probably the best choice for anyone without bottomless pockets atm. Though for a racecar, I can see your frustration

It's $195 for the Hondata system, and $75 for socketing your ECU. Maybe another 5-10 to ship it back to you.
It would take about a week I'm guessing, unless you wanted to pay a little more for the shipping from Hondata,
Thanks
Dan
