Default Gauge Cluster ?

I have a 90 dx civic hatch w/o a tach, im trying to replace it with a si cluster. I pluged it in and the tach isnt working. Somone told me I had to run a wire from the plug (in the back of the cluster) to the dizzy. My question is what type of wire do i need to run and where on the dizzy and plug does it need to be spliced into? Thanks
