question about a CEL
Well he said hes using a test pipe...that means that the 2nd O2 sensor(I'm guessing s2k's have them). Is going to throw a code because the lack of the catalytic converter and cause your a/f to lean out. You'll need an O2 sensor simulator they aren't really expensive. It basically tricks your 2nd O2 sensor into thinking that your a/f is fine. I'm not to familiar with s2k's but that is the basic stuff
find out what signal the 2nd o2 sensor sends the ecu when functioning normally. get the correct ohm resistor and wire it in there. biggity bang.
you could always try leaving the 2nd o2 sensor on the exhaut so it heats up just not inside.
or...I have an obdII interfaced program on my palm pilot that does some neat tricks...one of which I know will clear CELs on dsms. might work for your car too if its obdII.
there i hope that was more helpful than "reset the ecu"
oh brother

www.pocketlogger.com see if it works for your car.. if it does, it's a great tool, i reccomend it...
as for other ways:
1) take out the light bulb behind it
2) pretend it's normal
3) put some black electrical tape over the light and forget about it
4) ignore it
