Question Hood Repair Options

Hey all,
Im currently driving a 2001 White Honda Civic LX Sedan Auto (The Anti-Drag car, I know).

Anyways, some dumbass decides he wants to jump on my hood. Now I have very large damage to my hood and a thumbnail-width crack in the paint.

What are some options to repair the hood? Currently, I figure I can buy the hood online, get it pained (through a friend of mine), and self-install it. How does that sound? Would YOU do that? If not, what would else would you consider?

Any reccomendations, tips, suggestions, cautions?

All input would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Krazy

yeah man, if you know who damaged your hood, make the twat pay to have it replaced.

however, if that's not possible, the option you stated would be a good (and cheap) route to take.

hell, you can most likely find the hood for cheap on this board, considering that it's a civic.

Once the understructure on the backside of the hood gets deformed, it's over.. Get a new hood..
