ok, im new to the board/ area. i moved here recently from cali im fuckin crazy over 240s i love em, rwd strong engines and plentiful. what more can you ask?? i currently have the funds to aquire a 95 240sx 5spd, as well as a RB26DETT from a r32 skyline..... now i would need the r31 tranny for rwd, but thats do able. any input on how realistic this swap is?? or of any kits out there to make it simpler on myself?? i noticed the front motor mounts would need to be moved up about 2 inches ( lookin at my neighbors 240, and knowing the dimensions of the RB26DETT ). all input/advice would be greatly appreciated. oh and um.... i drive a 93 mustang ( 4v 4.6l, another swap ) which is supercharged ( paxton novi 2000 ) and is currently putting around 470 rwhp. i just fuckin love the 240s and im tired of the oh you drive a mustang bs, and then the 100 mph flybys when they get burned bs once again your input on the motor swap will be much appreciated

Honestly it's such a pain in the ass I wouldn't even go for it. And if you do decide to do it, Id like to watch, clearance on this kind of swap is almost non-existant.

 

You have my motor and 15-20 or so more WHP in a skinny Mustang and you want a 240. boo.

 

i want the 240 to have fun with ill get more runs other then the bow ties

I suggest doing ALOT more research. What you'd need is an RB25 tranny from an R33, not an early RB20 from an R31 for starters. There's so much more to say but it's a really tough swap and you'd be better off with one of the newer RB26's anyhow. Just do some more reading around and learn all what needs to be done. Asking a Honda board won't yield much help.
