Will intake/exhaust from d16y8 fit on b18c swap?
will aftermarket intake and exhaust for a d16y8 engine fit on a swapped b18c in the same car? or would i have to order new ones to fit the engine. i would think that they would still fit because as long as the port is around the same size the intake and exhaust might still fit. but i just need to know if an AEM V2 cai and greddy exhaust on my engine now would still fit if i swapped. if anyone has done a b18c swap in a d16y8 help me out. thanks
the intake might fit if the tube is the same size and you can make it slide on the throttle body (i think it is going to be too long, and at the wrong angle) , the exhaust from the cat back will fit if you get the excess piping cut off or added as the case maybe (depends on the b18c motor you get 1 or 5). the exhaust manifold is of a totally different bolt patteren, plus a b series motor sits differently in the motor bay. also the colector pipe to the cat, bends too fast and will be either too short or too long in some areas (if you plan on trying to keep that stuff). personaly i would swap, get a header, and get custom exhaust piping from the cat. to the first junction in the exhaust system (were the piping bolts together to go over the suspension).

doesn't matter what kind of gsr it is they both have the same manifold design, jdm or usdm. and the intake will not be the right size for the motor, you will have to change. buddie in cali has done this swap, but you can use the lower part of the intake if you want cold air, with a little longer rubber piece to mate the tubes up. exhaust will have to me re cut to the right length, and you will need headers for the motor, 4-2-1 style for more clearence when the car is lowered. go to hondaswap.com they have all the specs. you need for the swap, if you need more information.
