they look bad, but ride and hold you very..VERY well. the only other seat i would recommend are the cloth GSR seats with adjustable Lumbar support. they shoulda came off the earlier 90s tegs... they have really good side supports for your back, arms etc...almost as aggressive as the type R seats, but the lower leg supports are slightly lower. good seats, i have them in my civic...
