Default 92 prelude turbos?

just bought a 92 lude has a f22a1 in it was wondering if it was possible to turbocharge it have heard that the motors cant handle boost if any knows if its possible and had any tips please share

Yea man, u can turbo it, but I think you should drop an h series motor in there first....id much rather have an h22 running 7-8 psi than a f22 running 15 psi

cool thanks for the help man but will a h22 plug right up or do i need to change the ecu or wiring harness

hrm. i'd turbo the f22 as well. just to see what it can do =] if it doesnt perform like you like. then sell the turbo kit and drop a h22 to in.

the swap you'd be able to use your wireing harness but you'd need to run the vtec wires and swap out the ecu you get w/ the swap. But MOST of the time a ecu/wiring harness comes with the swap. I can't remember which one i used on my car. I'm pretty sure I used the jdm wiring harness.
