Had they welded in that same bolt in rollbar I bet the same thing would have happened.

Thats what I was thinking, they didnt say "roll bar," they said "bolt-in cage." Is it really the same thing, a roll bar is considered/can be classified as a cage? There are different kinds of cages, I'm aware of that...

Nope, not with a properly designed cage. Roll-overs happen alot without flattening the entire roof.

Its a roll bar in that Mustang, and it looks like its just a main hoop and rear braces. A cage would come around and in front of the driver.

I haven't seen a similar failure on different cars with the same Autopower rollbars.

I completely agree with that. I think even with a bolt in rollbar more times than not the roof doesn't collapse like that. I think that particular design is more at fault than whether or not its bolted in or welded in.
