Default Good place to get a tire checked/plugged? General price/location/hours of operation?

Friends tire went flat, don't want to mess with fix-a-flat because all my mechanic friends hate the stuff in the tires when they have to take it off rim, hahaha....

so, looking for a shop to plug the hole or fix the problem, wondering suggestions, general price range, hours of operation, etc...
thanks people

If you know where the hole is go to parts store and buy a plug kit. I have one it was like 17 dollars with 5 plugs def. worth the money.

Get any gas station's service area to do it. They usually have higher quality materials than the over the counter plug stuff.

Ask me how I know.

yall really have had problems with plugs? I have put like 20,000 miles on mine with no problems. Drove to PA like 10 times and never had any problems. I will have to remember this

plugging a tire is more effective then patching.

Wrong. Patching a tire is WAY more efective then plugging. A plug goes from the outiside in and can still possibly leak. A patch goes from the inside out and has a circle piece that is bigger the the hole. Patches are better then plugs, but plugs are cheaper and easier to do.

Trust me I know.

And as for the Fix-A-Flat, that shit does NOT work. AND it will damage your rim.

I've heard that too, about the plug vs patching, as well as the fix a flat. makes a mess and a bitch to clean out also?

A Plug Patch is the best. It is a patch with a plug on it. It usually keep the Z rating of high performance tires.
