fuel level gauge install - need help
I am working on installing a autometer fuel level guage n my 93 coupe and I have three pins to connect. 1. Ignition 2. Signal 3. Ground. I tapped into the ignition wire and have that solved I have also grounded the meter as well Now, I went behind my instrument cluster and cut the fuel wire on the 13 pin connector for I can receive the signal. Currently the guage works sometimes and tonight when I got gas, the guage was reading close to empty, Now I know gas is expensive but the guage is reading incorrect. I have already made sure the guage is working correctly through a trick that autometer sent me. Can anybody provide some insight on how to fix the guage to read the correct fuel level? Or another way to get signal from the fuel tank? Thanks
Usually when I install stuff like that I run a new signal wire all the way from the sending unit to the gauge. IMO its just as easy and you dont have to worry about any shitty factory wiring affecting your reading. Also make sure you have a decent ground that could affect the reading as well.
I posted in your other thread also.......

Install instructions have different resistances that need to match up to yours at full and empty. Does yours match the given specs for your gauge?
FWIW, mine works perfect in my trans am.

Thanks for all of the help. If I could locate a wiring diagram for my fuel sender unit that would be awesome. I have been searching the net for a while, but have come up with nothing. Thanks again.
autometer does not sell a fuel level gauge compatible with a honda. I have talked to a few different people in their sales and tech dept when i was doing some research.
I contacted Autometer via there website and I had them reply back with a few fuel level guages that they stated would work with my honda. I appreciate the help though. The guy from vadriven stated when I bought the guage from him that he had it working just fine on his honda. We shall see though. Thanks again.
