Default Tuning subforum

I just wanted to put this out there (tho i doubt its big enough on this particular forum to work).

I think it would be pretty cool to have a Ecu tuning subforum branch off of the Tech forum. Similar to how the backroom branches off Eye Candy.

The forum could be directed to those who would like to start open source tuning on their own (i.e. Tactrix cable, EcuFlash, EcuExplorer, Enginuity, etc.) or those who tune using would like to discuss tuning techniques in general.

I know there are some real fuck heads on here so theres plenty of people on hear to give false info, but I just thought I'd put in you guys' ear.

Sounds like a bad idea. A good idea in sence yet a bad one for Driven. Theres no way you could filter out all the BS and find out who has know how and who doesnt.

I say keep it on your platform specific forums it would further you more then here.

Bad idea. I get dumber reading the tech forum as it is. I don't think adding sub forums is going to make it any better. Tuning stuff would go in the tech forum. Tech doesn't have to be all "my shit broke" threads. That's just what it happens to be because there's so many people on here to excel in breaking shit.

I'd say no. Asides from the fact that it would be an extra niche forum, if someone wants help in tuning with an open source solution, they would be much better off going to a forum dedicated specifically for whatever they're using.

Also: not everyone will be able to figure out who's credible or not.

BTW, the backroom came about because there was an obvious overwhelming need for it.
