aight i jus bought a 93 mazda mx6 2.o 4 cylinder. i need the firing order for the thing. it wont start and i jus replaced cap rotor and plugs. wires are still good. only time it starts is when the wires are on wrong. it sounds like a lawn mower. i need someones help please. the cap has the firing order on it and i follwed that and it wont start i dont know why. someone give me a hand here.

i fixed that problem the cap or rotor is bad. but i got a new question, car jus shuts off in third gear ofter gunnin it in 1st and 2nd. any ideas?

Beat your iac with a rubber mallet some...somes like its stuck

Iv'e got the same engine in my protege. I'll check the service manuals to see what it says about the whole shutting off deal. Also does it idle low sometimes when you're coming to stop? If that's happening, replace the spark plugs. I go through 2 or 3 sets a year b/c of that. The FS engine eats spark plugs, it goes lean at wide open throttle anywhere above 5k rpms.

 

wel the distributor jus went out today so i have to get a new one now anyway car wont start. so if anyone got a spare workin disty let me know
