Cool Wastegate boost signal

Ok just an off the wall question about somthing i was thinking about. I currently have a 9psi spring in my wastegate that gets its boost signal from the turbo. Now when my wastegate opens when there is 9psi at the turbo i get about 7-8psi in my intake mani due to preasure drop across my intercooler and what not. Now would i be able to get the full 9psi if i got the boost signal from the intake manifold?

yes. you want to plug the source on your compressor housing. and run the source off your intake manifold.

Well right now i have a vacume line going from turbo to the wastegate and it opens up when there is 9psi at the turbo. But i am only reading 7 or 8psi due to the preasure drop. Now can't i just run the line that is going to the turbo from the wastegate to the intake manifold insted so the wastegate will open when there is 9psi in the intake manifold insted of the turbo.

thats what i meant.

intake manifold vacuum port ----------- wastegate port

you have to plug the port on the compressor housing because there is no longer anything going there.

and yes it will open it up when the intake mani sees 9psi instead of the compressor seeing 9psi.
