Default clutch question

i have a 2000 prelude and bought a exedy "stage one" but might just be oem, not sure how to tell the difference. but anyways, i debating whether or not i should install it because of heard bad things about it slippin after a month and not catching as well as stock. but, i have it, and id hate to just waste it and let it sit in the garage forever. can yall help me out and shoot me some advice?

Get your flywheel machined properly, and break the clutch in properly.

sounds like a winner. even if its just the oem exedy clutch do yall think its still gonna feel as stiff as the stock clutch in there now? and one last, how can you tell the difference between the stock exedy clutch and the stage one?
thanks for the feedback!

Exedy is a very reputable company. I can't imagine a clutch slipping after a month unless it was caused by operator error or putting the clutch in a higher horsepower/torque setup than it was intended for.

That and make sure you break in the clutch properly. No ragging on it for the first 500 miles.

exedy all the way. just break it in and replace the flywheel as well and youre set. if its a stage one it will definately be a lot stiffer then the stock clutch
