got a question
ok so im gettin a CRF 250 frame with no forks and parts from engine is missing...is it worth the time and money to work on it? i can get the forks for free from a friend and engine is gonna be only thing i really spend money on
my buddy got a 96 (i believe) from a guy at work. it needed a cylinder and a piston/crank. bought it for $100 with race suspension, and a few other goodies. it didnt take him a whole lot of money to put it together. that thing is crazy fast. i say do it.
if it's 80's it's a cr, not crf. and it'll depend on the condition of the rest of the bike. most older dirtbikes have been beat on pretty well, and usually need more work than originally thought. it could be worth it though, two strokes are very simple to work on (but can be a bitch to tune) and parts are fairly cheap.
