Default VW Gurus Help!

2004 VW Jetta GLS Problems Auto...it starts fine but when i go to put the car in gear it wont go into gear at all and the dash "EPC" light is on...i dont know crap about VW but a friend of mine is having trouble anyone with any expierence with this got any advice?

2004, should still be under warranty, take it to the dealer.

Did you have the brake switch replaced under recall?

EPC is the drive by wire system. He needs to take the car to the dealer if it's out of warranty. He may want someone with a vagcom to take a look at the car as well.

has the car been jump-started lately? if you connect the jumper cables while the ignition is on, you will fry the thottle module
