not sure what your question is... are you asking how do you confirm a private message you sent has been read?

How do you read mail you have sent? You can read mail that was sent and unconfirmed, But not confirmed.

Did you check the "Save a copy of this message in your Sent Items folder." box under Additional Options? It's disabled by default to save space on the server.
