Do you all really think that they are going to ban these guns? I think I am going to buy another bare stripped lower.

I didnt like the Glocks or Para Ordinace's because of the double stack clips. Makes the grips too wide. I dont feel like I have enough control of the gun. I guess to each their own.
Rock Island Armory guns aren't Les Baer quality, but they're decent. As I've said before, it's rather tough to go wrong with any 1911. It's possible, but tough...

I don't know... I do know, however, that I'd rather be prepared by getting everything I've wanted before a possible ban is imposed. William Clinton passed an assault weapons ban while he was in office--you can be damn sure his wife will do the same if she has the opportunity.

It wasn't a bad choice at all. It's hard to go wrong with 14+1 rounds of .45ACP. The only thing I don't like about the XDs is their DAO trigger pull. It's not a bad thing at all, just not for everyone. I admire the fact that Springfield adopted the grip safety from the 1911. In my opinion, every handgun should be equipped with that feature.

do yourself a favor and stay away from Georgia Arms reloads. I bought 200 rounds of 9mm from them and over 10% of the cases were cracked. I made the mistake of not double checking them before I shot a few.

I will. When I saw the price was only $1 difference between Georgia Arms reloads and the factory Remington, I'd spend the extra $1 for non-reloads.
