yes I BELIEVE it can but if it cannot now the Airport that is on this mac IS in fact the Airport Extreme which allows you to do wireless N if it doesnt then you will have to buy the software enabler for only $1.99 from the apple store.

apple does NOT make a user installable wireless n capable card. the intel core 2 duos marked the start of the airport extreme cards with N capabilities.

right thats why I said that they may have to buy the ENABLER SOFTWARE for $1.99 on the Apple store as shown on the link above

Yeah, and it won't do shit and they'll be out $1.99. The enabler software doesn't magically make an airport card capable of N. Only machines with intel core 2 duo and higher have N capabilities. Apple does not sell the card with N capabilities...end of story.
