FS: Apple iMac G5 w/ iSight
to upgrade it is VERY easy...the manual has detailed instructions on how to change out the memory..I read up on it just out of curiousity and it was 100X easier than a PC Computer.
To Install Memory (RAM)
1. Shut Down your iMAC
2. Disconnect all cables and the power cord from your iMAC
3. Place a soft, clean towel or cloth on the desk or surface. Hold the sides of your iMac and lay it down so that the screen is against the surface and the bottom is facing you.
4. Raise the stand and use a Phillips #2 Screwdriver to loosen the 2 captive screws on the memory access door by turning them counter-clockwise.
5. Remove the memory access door and set it aside
6. Insert the memory module into the bottom slot or top slot with the notch facing left.
7 Press the memory module firmly and evenly into the compartment. Youll hear a slight click when the memory is seated correctly.
8.Replace the memory access door and tighten down the screws
9. Turn your iMac right side up and then reconnect the cables and power cord.
10. Power on your iMac.
