i think it was back in the sixtys F1 cars were running 1000hp 4 cyl turbos. (yes i know they're not street cars, but i'm just saying, that's still quite a feat). and of course, there are still the skylines pushing over 1000hp across the seas. we might see some of those type cars over here if kits, wings, and stickers weren't so expensive, hehe

although not all, i do regurlary beat camaros and stangs, and even some vettes at autox. i do show a sign of a reality check though, i don't drag it

since when were gts and z28 high 14 second cars?? try 13.9-14.2 GT and a tenth or two faster in the Z...14.7 inst that fast...but wake up...V8s are running sub 14 seconds stock...maybe the old ones but the new ones have a bit more gopower but you did say "nowaday", ESPECIALLY the z28. around 310-15 hp stock ls1 is friggin fast...even the 275 lst is real fast. I raced a mustang GT last week and beat him 2/3 times....
By the way the 98-02 LS1's run easily 13's.. I have two buddys with LS1's and they both ran close to the same times. Both ran a 13.3 at richmond and we still believe the clock was off....
SO they could have prolly ran faster...
