People totally blow tapping oil pans out of porportion. It's fucking simple. Tap it like gyl said, make sure you use a shitload of grease, and if you're really anal, put a magnet stick in it and check for shavings, and then do 2 oil changes. That should flush out everything.

Hampton Rubber or..Tidewater Fasteners I think its called sells all of the NPT fittings you could ever need.

get the fittings from h ampton rubber, not tidewater fastener.

and your buddy is a total idiot, you cant use a magnet to get ALUMINIUM chips out of your oil pan. your downpipe is probably already off, and removing the oil pan is a snap. or you can half ass it, let the motor suck in in shard of metal and completely destroy everything youve worked so hard to achieve.

i for one do not give a fuck what anyone does, but there is the right way, the and the dragva way. roll the dice, its your chips on the table.
