You say it sticks down below the bumper. Is it just a little or a lot?
I've seen some that stick down a little to far. You may have to trim a little with a hax saw, it only takes a second to zip through that aluminum. I know you don't want to but sometimes that comes with buying aftermarket parts.

I've had to on some of my friends, hell even mine.

Can you return it and buy one from another company? I agree that it should fit if it's made for your car and you shouldn't have to fuck with it to make it fit.

AEM, one piece (for my car anyway) and it fit perfectly.

Ahhhh.

Why not go with a regular intake then. And no, not a short ram.

I know Tenzo used to make intakes that would go all the way to where the stock airbox was, so that the filter would sit right above the intake hole right next to the radiator.

It won't be a true cold air, but it will be better than a short ram. Plus the prices are pretty cheap.

Something like this:

leigh take a pic of it on your car and the extra piece.

and sargeek... they only make intakes like that for older civics... it wouldn't be like that for an ek. plus he already has bought an intake.

Oh well. I've never owned a civic newer than the 92-95's. Worth a shot though.
