Toyota Previa's came in two trim levels

the LE and the DX

2.4L I4 16v---- the engine is pretty torquey--- timing chain

the space is so roomy when compared to other minivans in its class... you can get a Previa with a refrigirator in it...

there are two kinds of seat arrangements
... 2 capt (F), 2 capt (m), bench (r)
... 2 capt (F), beach (m), beach (r)

the supercharged model S/C is only on the 96-97 model... it doesn't matter if it is a DX or LE model even the base model

two tranny choice... automatic and 5 speed
all wheel drive is also available but mostly are AUTO

there are a few S/C all-wheel drive 5 speed but are hard to find and mostly are up north

Those hooked up Oddesey's actualy don't look to bad. I like the hooked up Previa's better though. I won't be able to afford anything brand new either, looking in the mid-to-late 90's.

 

i think the older mazda MPV is 4wd

 

i used to have a previa, they are really good vans. but fluid changing is a bitch. they run a long ass time, lil' low on torque, had trouble pulling a trailor, you could smell the overworked motor. i suggest you go with the awd s/c, but for a later year, expect to pay around 14-17, like for a '97, the last year in production in the U.S..

 

I know in japan they are making a All Trac verison it will be just like a GT-4

 

to start with... a Previa is a Mid Rear configuration... so by adding a transfer case like the 4WD trucks makes it a 4 wheel drive system.... but the PREVIA is a all wheel drive system and the alltrac is a FF set-up and a new tranny design with a transfer case in the tranny would have a way to link the rear wheels... thus making it a all trac system.... in the celica's, camry's and corolla's

 

not to mention the 1st version of the RAV4! it was basically an Alltrac with the funky mini SUV body.

the GT4 is the Alltrac.

the MPV had major league problems.

 

RAV4 = cloned out CELICA/CAMRY/COROLLA
