Has anyone owned or known someone that had a Toyota Previa? Me and my family need one to haul the kids around, inaddition to my toys. I was looking at the SC AWD model. Of course I'd put a few goodies on it but it'd lightly modified and mostly used for cruising the family around. Anyway, share any opinions... no flames, it's just for family use.

Previa's are the old Toyota minivan..4cyl, mid engine, looks like an egg. Some of the 91-92's I think were supercharged, but still only like 170hp. Get a Dodge Caraan, at least they have the dual sliding doors all the way back to 1996.

I was thinking the Previa also because it's the only bigger sized mini-van that I know of with AWD. They also came SCed from the factory, so that means it's ready to be upgraded.
On the Odyssey note, can someone show me where to look up stats, pictures and the aftermarket for it?

hmm i'm guessin you can try www.honda.com
or www.hondacars.com

and look for odyssey

i don't know much about them but from what i've heard it's a 3.5l
with 240hp/242lbs of torque tho i believe it's fwd
optional nav system and 7' fold down screen-great way to keep the bebes kids entertained

EDIT this is HONEY.

a new odyssey? if so, im pretty sure youll be stuck on a waiting list. my mom used to really want one, but itd take her forever to get one.

previas are ugly imo. for some reason, i remember either my dad or my brother telling me they did really bad in crash tests.. but i could be wrong.

if you can, get a used sienna. (sp)
