I have tanabe racing medallion exhaust for my 00 celi and I reveiced a paper work for the exhaust that states its for legal street use in 50 states and also states the dB level...I'm not sure what the legal limit is, but it states 90 with the silencer on....I never had that thing (silencer) on for 3 years...

I have 14 tickets total, 3 for stupid exhaust, but i fight it all the time and my case gets dismissed. Just had to pay court cost. Is your exhaust cat-back, or is it one of those muffler with custom piping? Just curious

What part of the code, above your post, didn't you read.....there is no db level(legal limit) here in VA.

Just a couple key words to hook you up with a ticket:
unless it is equipped with an exhaust system of a type installed as standard factory equipment
escape of noise in excess of that permitted by the standard factory equipment exhaust system

That's great that you've won using that paperwork. That's exactly what I planned on doing if I get a ticket. But.....it really doesn't make your exhaust legal....truth hurts, I know
I'm sure you'll want an explanation now.....lol

I used the same picture 3 times of the car with the silencer in and they all got dismissed. I need a silencer for my HKS now because I have a ticket coming up soon on the Integra. Either that or I need a picture of someone's Integra w/ a stock exhaust.
