I would go w/blue, unless you were going to repaint the whole car.

 

fine line? For what? I never use that shit unless im doing graphics. I just use the basic lime Green 3M tape that curves really good and take my time.

Depends on what im spraying. If im doing a white car, and he wants a blue pearl, then i'll add it to the base. I've actually done quite a few cars by gradually applying pearl into my first 2 coats of clear, then none in my final coat. I don't like doing it that, but i sure can do a damn good job with no modulating of the pearl at all. I guess i just spray a good even pattern. I've seen many people try it and looks like shit because they either overlap their clear too much, or add entirely too much pearl. Most of the cars i do now, i just use Duponts Balancer(150k) and Binder (175k). Which are both transparent and are mainly used most when doing a tri coat anyway. I mix equal amounts of the 150k and 175k then add the pearl till i reach the effect i want without dramatically changing my basecoat's color. Thats how i like to do it.

 

fine line is easier i think to do curves with....i need the green tape and the tape that peels back like the weather stripping around the windshield and the rear glass....can you get a discount for me?
