Nope, I have an AEM cold air intake on my D16a6. Just pull out the old air intake and install the cold air. Hardest part is pulling off the splash guard around the tire.

well you need a head and a new timing belt. and some way to activate the vtec. say like an msd rpm switch. or a vafc would work even better but costs more.
