Well, my car is still messed up, I replaced the shifter cable (the previous owner drove the car real hard), but that didn't solve the problem. I can still move from 1st gear straight across to 3rd and 5th, it feels as if my shifter shifts in an open box. Does anyone know where I can get a transmission? If you do I would really appreciate the help. As of for Saturday night I will be staying in doing some research.

Thankyou

check your shifter bushings. also, what condition is your gear lube in? you also need to check where your shifter linkages 'link' like the clips hold the cables and stuff. oh! also check the linkage mechanism that's on the trans.

ToyotaTechGeek,

I appreciate your help, I'll go back and check all those things. Did anyone meet up tonight, I wish I could of taken my MR2T out tonight, oh well it's to cold anyway, I've been working on my car all day in the cold weather. I'll probably get it towed to AAMCO for them to check it out if I don't find the problem by Monday.

Peace

I sure could use the help on diagnosing the problem, my number is 867-8781. I'll be home tonight or tomorrow. I just really want to get it fixed, and if I can't fix it myself I will just pay to get it fixed. I appreciate everyone's help and please if you can help me give me a call.

Thanks
