cold air intake or short ram intake?

RSX Intake test. The 2 CAI tested made 10HP more than the Short Ram models, which in turn made anywhere from 5-10HP more than stock. They all were about 5 FT/LB of torque more than the stock box.
So for RSX CAI is the way to go, 10HP from an intake is nothing to sneeze at. Couldn't tell you how this effects other cars

it's the only one you could give him. finally somone else agrees with me on this one. the only REAL place to test an intake in at the track. just about every other performance piece (designed to increase hp) can be accuratley assesed by dyno. intakes however due to their nature are often velocity and environmentaly dependant and their full affects can only be seen at speed. this is why the dyno is a horrible place to test out ram air systems...
How could having a longer intake pipe make slower throttle response??because even tho when you first hit the gas, it may not be cold air straight from outside, there is still air inside the intake tube...or is it actually true that longer pipes decrease throttle response?
