pulsestar spark plugs?
Don't worry, it's pretty much impossible to get that fast of a burn during a normal combustion cycle with a spark plug. You can't really change the flame propagation speed just by making a hotter spark. You can make it start to combust slightly faster from a given location, but fuel burns at a certain rate depending on the conditions it's in. Don't buy in to the marketing propaganda. Besides, there is still ignition timing involved, so it's going to start the combustion process at the right time anyway.
I know I've said this before, but if this stuff had so much merit, it would be in widespread use unless you believe the crackpot theories about the automakers being in bed with the oil companies (and agreeing to not increase efficiency or fuel economy). There are sound engineering principles, and there are overhyped placebo-effect inventions which are very convincing but ultimately ineffective.

yeah but back to the spark plug talk. thats all i needed to know. for one im not gonna drill my spark plug that in its self sound just dumb wether it works or not. 2 im not to handy with a drill neway so yeah. i jus went and copped sum ngk (irideums)sp. but thanks for all the info.
You mean things like Hybrids, which have a battery that costs a lot of money, and present more of a hazard to the environment when people aren't willing to "dispose" of the batteries properly as gas cars currently do? That kind of a convincing arguement? (Remember, Full Hybrids get about a 30% increase in economy, so they reduce carbon emissions by 30%. But battery replacement is very expensive. Battery disposal fees are rather high also. And many people aren't going to want to pay for that, or some company somewhere will decide it's cheaper/easier, to just dump these damn things in a landfill somewhere, and suddenly, you have a VERY bad effect on the environment....)
now on the pulsestar plugs. i saw on a qrite up where a guy put them on his lexus. he paid over 100 for them and gained 1 hp on the dyno. to me thats just not worth it.
im not sure how it is where you live but here in martinsburg, when you by a new battery you have to pay a core charge unless you have your old one. they dispose of it for free.

I stand by my Iridium IX's. It is said that these Pulse plugs are supposed to yield hp gains, but there are also a lot of reviews of them being faulty/breaking/improperly fitting per vehicle application. I ordered them and was sent the wrong spark plugs, so I went out and bought NGK Iridium IX's instead. I chose these since I once read a study on a few different big brand spark plugs (the ones tested were Pulstar pulse plugs, NGK Iridium IX, and I believe Bosch IR Platinum fusion), and the NGK's provided the most consistent horsepower gains.
