I wish I had good news to report but I don't


I would think it would be a collapsing fuel line if it did it all of the time. But if you start it up it runs perfect for 10 min or so. And after 10 min if you go to pass someone it will just fall on its face. But if you do not give it more than 1/4 throttle when it is messing up then it is fine. Also fuel psi is right at 55psi

That is a good idea. We have not given that a shot yet

No we did not give it a new pick up or anything when we replaced a new fuel pump. Also after we put a new fuel pump in it ran good for a month until it started doing this. Also it will do it with any amount of fuel in the tank.

Today we took the cat off just to see if it was clogged and it also did not fix it.Also replaced the coil and the coil driver.

 

Check that catalytic convertor. Real common problem on these cars.

 

id suspect the distributor. these are common problems with these.

 

We also pulled that just to see if it cracked a tooth or something and looked great.

 

sounds to me like the motor is getting up to temp. and it is retarding the timing.

also if you have a temp gun check the temp. befor, on , and after the cat('s). that will rule out the converter theory.

also try driving it with the the fuel gauge hooked up and see if the pressure drops when it happens.

 

did you post this on blazinlow too? would be a good idea if you haven't.

 

sounds like the spider injector is bad... very pain in the ass fix as well

 

its nothing but removing the intake. whats so difficult?

 

I had to do one and broke one of the arms on it.

 

Yea I kind of hijacked a guys tread that was having the same problem.
His was a coil went bad.I went out and replaced it and did not fix it.

I was thinking the same thing. That was one of the first thing's we replaced.
