i was told today that the springs could be on upside down...i do need new struts ...im going tokico adjustable....koni yellow is too expensive

if it's just the lowered look you're going for, you should check around for other spring manufacturers for your car and see what the rated drop is.

btw, you shouldn't use stock struts with lowering springs unless you like having them blown over and over again.
I put the sportline spring kit on my stock 94 cx. Been driving it for a year without blowing a damn thing. Even auto x'd with it a couple weekends ago.

Just because it happened to you or someone you know it doesn't mean it will happen to everyone.

Oh yeah: got a friend with an 02' GTI. He did the same with his car. Sportline on stocks. Been like that for a year. No problems.

i've actually had my goldline sprins on my eclipse on stock struts and it's been good for almost a year, of course it doesn't move much now the engine is.......DESTROYED(TY ZEX)

The KYB AGX struts are cheaper than the Tokico's, but they can't handle more than a 1 3/4" drop. You can pick up a set of Ground Control coilovers for around $180 if you can't afford to go with a top dollar setup. They're decent coilovers too... they don't rattle around on the strut like most of the other coilover sleeves.
