ask him what kind of car he drives... if it's some old beater.. then put the stock cat on your car, and make a bet with him for a shitload of money that your "polluting modifed car" will score better on emmissions test than him. sabatoge his car to make it even worse if you have to lol.. that would probably shut him up. especially if you actually did it...

oh.. and kick him in the crotch while you're at it.. record it and post it too please

He should learn his facts. Pollution lies within the whole, not a specific group. Believe me, we don't burn any more gas than a normal cars would on average

He probably thinks that all the aircraft industry going down the tube is good because of aircraft burning fuel. When in fact, it burns from only 5% of the total fuel burnt per day, and results in 600% more miles per gallon.

Tell him to to take his activist self elsewhere. If he really wants to save the enviroment, tell him to pick on something bigger that will ultimately have an effect ie.

Ask him if he owns a dishwasher, hot water tank, washer and dryer, which are the most earth destructing household appliances for electricity and water consumption.

OPEC(which ironically supplies the gas he burns in his own car)

Trucking companies(ironically everything he has was once on a polluting truck)

Coal power stations(ironically the computer, which he probably leaves on all day, and every other electronic instrument he owns)

A few modified cars is not increasing pollution anymore than the whole puts out. Ask him to see a scientific study of the drastic increase in air pollutants since The Fast and Furious came out.

EDIT: Oh and if this guy is at least 30 years old. He has been driving for about roughly 14-15 years. Of the time he has been driving cars, he has equaled the polluting power of about 20-25 of our "polluting modified cars" running for 1 year.
Nice.... I will post something in a few mins since this has been something I studied ans researched many times. I just want to get the lastest statistcs

I hate environazis, almost as much as petacommies, they usauly end up messing up things more than it already was. Id ask to meet him in person, have a huge as cigar in your mouth, bassin a car off(noise pollution) and piss on the side walk next to him wearing a huge ass fur coat.

Ask him if he still wants power, or if he wants to go back to the old days with no power and no heat. because burning wood would hurt the enviroment and how about no cooked food.

Nice and simple...

Here is my post to lock this shit down...

TO: Kelly Garner

Ok I will keep this as simple as possible.

Ok let’s start with data from the EPA. The EPA conducts a Ten-Year Air Quality and Emissions Trends report every 10 years. So from the data from 1986-1995 according to the report, there have been significant reductions in all 6 criteria pollutants and reductions are expected to continue.

Carbon Monoxide (CO) down 37%
Lead down 78%
Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) down 14%
Ozone down 6%
Particulate Matter (PM-10) down 22%
Sulfur Dioxide down 37%.

Let’s break down those six pollutants down…

Carbon Monoxide (CO)
Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless, poisonous gas formed when carbon in fuels is not burned completely.

Lead
Smelters and battery plants are the major sources of lead in the air. The highest concentrations of lead are found in the vicinity of nonferrous smelters and other stationary sources of lead emissions.

Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2)
Nitrogen dioxide belongs to a family of highly reactive gases called nitrogen oxides (NOx). These gases form when fuel is burned at high temperatures, and come principally from stationary sources such as electric utilities, industrial boilers, cars and other road vehicles, heaters and cookers. Once it is mixed with air it quickly combines with oxygen, forming nitrogen dioxide (NO2). Most nitrogen dioxide in the atmosphere is formed from the oxidation of nitric oxide (NO) in this way, although some is release directly from source. It is also present in tobacco smoke

Ozone (O3)
Ozone (O3) is the tri-atomic form of molecular oxygen (O2). It is a toxic bluish, unstable gas, with pungent odor, found naturally in the atmosphere, particularly in the stratosphere 19 to 30 km above the Earth's surface where it forms the ozone layer. Ground-level ozone (the primary constituent of smog) is the most complex, difficult to control, and pervasive of the six principal air pollutants. Unlike other pollutants, ozone is not emitted directly into the air by specific sources. Ozone is created by sunlight acting on NOx and VOC in the air. There are thousands of types of sources of these gases.

Particulate Matter (PM-10)
Particulate matter is the term for solid or liquid particles found in the air. Particulate matter is a complex mixture of organic and inorganic substances, present in the atmosphere as both liquids and solids. Coarse particulates can be regarded as those with a diameter greater than 2.5 micrometers (µm), and fine particles less than 2.5 micrometers. Some particles are large or dark enough to be seen as soot or smoke. Others are so small they can be detected only with an electron microscope. Because particles originate from a variety of mobile and stationary sources (diesel trucks, woodstoves, power plants, etc.), their chemical and physical compositions vary widely. Particulate matter can be directly emitted or can be formed in the atmosphere when gaseous pollutants such as SO2 and NOx react to form fine particles.

Sulfur Dioxide (SO2)
Sulfur dioxide belongs to the family of gases called sulfur oxides (SOx ). These gases are formed when fuel containing sulfur (mainly coal and oil) is burned, and during metal smelting and other industrial processes. Coal burning is the single largest man-made source of sulphur dioxide accounting for about 50% of annual global emissions, with oil burning accounting for a further 25-30%. The most common natural source of sulphur dioxide is volcanoes

Today's automobile produces approximately 90 percent less pollution than cars built in the 1960s. Leaded gasoline has been phased out, and government-mandated manufacturing improvements such as the catalytic converter and the fuel injector have significantly reduced tailpipe emissions. In cities, air may be severely polluted not only by transportation but also by the burning of fossil fuels (oil and coal) in generating stations, factories, office buildings, and homes and by the incineration of garbage. The massive combustion produces tons of ash, soot, and other particulates responsible for the gray smog of cities like New York and Chicago, along with enormous quantities of sulfur oxides. These oxides rust iron, damage building stone, decompose nylon, tarnish silver, and kill plants.

So the basic facts from studies done by the EPA are
14% of air pollution is produced by fossil-fueled vehicles.
16% of air pollution is produced by factories or the industrial realm
And are you ready
70% of air pollution is naturally occurring

So facts to back this up can be found at http://www.epa.gov

So let’s look at a few facts from the natural occurring sources.
Natural sources of sulphur dioxide include release from volcanoes, biological decay and forest fires. Actual amounts released from natural sources in the world are difficult to quantify. In 1983 the United Nations Environment Program estimated a figure of between 80 million and 288 million tons of sulphur oxides per year (compared to around 69 million tons from human sources world-wide).
Natural sources of nitrogen oxides include volcanoes, oceans, biological decay and lightning strikes. Estimates range between 20 million and 90 million tons per year nitrogen oxides released from natural sources (compared to around 24 million tons from human sources worldwide).
Ozone is a secondary photochemical pollutant formed near ground level as a result of chemical reactions taking place in sunlight. About 10 to 15% of low level ozone, however, is transported from the upper atmosphere (called the stratosphere), where it is formed by the action of ultraviolet (UV) radiation on oxygen (the ozone layer).
Natural sources of particulate matter are less important than man-made sources. These include volcanoes and dust storms. However, such sources do account for intense high particulate pollution episodes, occurring over relatively short times scales.
Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are naturally produced by plants and trees. Isoprene is a common VOC emitted by vegetation, and some believe it to be a more significant trigger for asthma and other allergic reactions than man-made irritants. Plant, grass and trees are also a source of pollen, which can act as triggers in some asthmatics. Pollen is in the air year-round, but the concentration is highest during the growing season, from March to the first frosts in autumn.

In conclusion, go do your part to keep the pollution from fossil fuels low by walking, cutting grass with scissors, taking showers and wasting cloths with no hot water because you don’t pay for electricity and keep warn with the blankets that were made at factory that polluted because you don’t have heat to keep warm because the electricity that is made or gas that is used to power the heating until in your house polluted. Also like on the ground that has grass that pollutes with VOCs because you did not build a house because well it would pollute to make it.

Oh yeah and go back to school and study because for the 25 min write-up I just did with the knowledge that I have on this subject… YOU GOT SCHOOL-ED

i used to be very active in the surfrider foundation and i enjoy the car hobby. there is no real good reason for more automobile use, there are more environmentally friendly means of transportation. but we are not out to just attack the environment. there are no malicious motives. what really gets me is that there are so many more pressing environmental problems in this area and this person is attacking us. if they really want to make an impact they should take that energy and time that they took to write the letter and go reestablish an oyster population in the bay. go activley try to do something. not write. i can respect their concern for the environment, but there are better more constructive things to do.

hey you forgot to mention that the water pumped to his house use electricity and also the waste mangament plants that process the crap and piss that he flushes uses electricity. which means that he needs to go to the river and get a bucket or dig a well by hand to get water and he also has to take a crap in his backyard and bury it which eventually will lead to the water which he is going to drink and take a bath in. At leas the water from the waste management plant comes out cleaner then other sorces of water. and if he replies about Nuclear power being bad talk to me i work at surry power station. ill set him straight

My truck has been down the last 5 months... let see... thats about 50 gallons a week saved... times ~4.5 weeks a month... times 5 months....

I've saved the envoroment 1125 gallons of gas so far.... thanks to making my truck faster (Breakin trannys) lol
