Glad I stayed home and watched Entourage; dam there was a big fight at the end of that show too. guess it was ment to be..... the richmond sence is out of control these days. Im so glad this meet is Va Beach is happening: get to meet new people see new things oh i hope its going to be fun.

i had a good time last night. got to just sit around and talk cars with some of you guys. i left around 10ish and never saw anyone get suckerpunched. i guess it happened later or before i got there.

For younger crowds, the stereotype is of an import crowd interested in speed and showing off flashy accessories that is much younger than a domestic car crowd who may be more about actual power and are out there because they want to meet up and talk about cars. Older people with imports will most likely have well maintained cars without the F&F look.
It takes money to actually go fast than to just sound fast. Need to attract the more mature crowd with good jobs and can afford an entry fee, pay for dinner at the restaraunt, and have something to lose with a reckless driving charge. As harsh as it sounds, the kids that live at home and are just out doing crop dusting fly-bys with their biplane wings need to be weeded out to get/maintain the actual car enthusiasts.

It's very unfortunate that the meets at WC had to lead to this. I've been out a couple times and liked going out. Of course I didn't however like all the bs (burning out,flying by trying to show off,revving,etc) just like it seems like a lot of you on here don't. It's also unfortunate that the meets had to lead to this cause I probably won't have another DA (90-93 integra) until around my bday (will be a nice gift to myself though,ha). Is the meeting still going on at WC at 7p tomorrow(8/1)?? Would like to be at this to try and help set up a good quality meet.

As far as who acts stupid and who doesn't. I'm an import guy myself and always will be but I do have respect for any car and a true enthusiast of cars. Unfortunately it is a lot of the import scene that acts like idiots, however I've seen a lot of people in trucks and domestics act like idiots as well (I'm guessing to show off and try and say that they are better than the import scene, just plain stupidity there). Age plays a big factor in the stupidity, it is mostly younger people 20/21 and younger. However there's also a big number of older people who act like idiots as well. You can't point a finger at just one group as stupidity comes from everywhere.

This is true to an extent but also not true towards my situation and possible others like mine. First paragraph is dead on, second not so much. I'm currently living at home due to my situation. Just moved out here a couple months ago from Phoenix, AZ. Now have a job at Jiffy Lube part time and am in school full time. Not the best job cause it doesn't pay the best, so that makes it harder to continue to live life, mod car, and now pay for meets. Also when it comes to receiving a ticket for acting a fool, I do have A LOT to lose, my career. I am going to be an auto/diesel technician and if I want to work at a dealership like I'd like to, due to benefits, I know you can't have more than 3pts on your license. I fortunately enough though fall under the more mature crowd at meets, have the military and age to thank for that, am only 22, 23 in Sept though.
