There is little difference with both wheels experiencing a bad pot hole, sure the BBS wheels are stronger but if it's enough to kill a Rota then it will surely be enough to kill a BBS; they aren't that much stronger. Don't forget, the owner of the BBS wheels will be spending $400+ per wheel to get them replaced.
Stating that track use is more/less stress on the wheel is extremely vague, it's like stating that the novice driver with street tires is exerting less force on his wheels compared to an advanced/experienced driver/car with race tires. A full on race prepped car will surely demand much more out of the wheels on a track then they would experience on the street, not at the lip but at the hub.
