240 help
If it was me, I'd throw in an RB25. I personally don't like the feel of SR20s, just seems like a weed whacker.
Pretty much comes down to how much power you want and how much money you're willing to spend. Cheap and under 350, I'd go with KA-t or SR20. Little more expensive and up to 500hp, go with the RB25. Over 500 and stupid expensive, go with the RB26.
I have an RB26 in mine and I love it to death. But you gotta have deep pockets and a shit load of patience.

Yea I still need the parts... At this point I think you're gonna have to SHIP me the clutch just so I can come down... lullz... Its gettin bad...
damn broski..um paypal? o still need p28?
if your KA is in good condition turbo the KA. you'll spend 1800 - 2300 on the SR swap (not including installation) which will give you 200 - 225 crank horsepower which is only 50-75hp respectively more than you already have. take half that money and setup the KA-t and have shitload of torque and have potential. umm one of my last mags that came in the mail just finished a 800+ hp KA-t in a s14...pretty cool. just my 2 cents, thats what i did in the s13 i had, i just couldn't come to realization of going from 2.4L to almost 1.9L with or without boost, plus if anything breaks you can get it at any local dealer
the only major drawback to boosted KA's is the lack of aftermarket support due to the overrated SR swap. Honestly its a matter of what you want? Want to be like just about EVERY other 240...do an SR....have lots of money? do a RB or what i wanted to do VH45!!

KA-t is not cheap if built properly.
SR will cost just as much, but it is already turbo. And you can get any part you want for an SR. Back 7 years ago this was not true.
V8 is the new thing
Only fanboys want an RB!!!!!
After you find out how much money it takes to build a proper 240 you'll end up back with the honda crowd. This happens all the time. I have first hand experience with KA-T's and SR's. Sr's by far are more responsive to mods and are reliable. Displacement in these little ass engine's really doesnt matter. The VH45 or 1uz is what a lot of people will be doing next year. They are cheap motors, but have a big hp potential.

Once again +1 for what danny said. Sr's are really easy to find parts for a lot of the simple stuff can come from the n/a sr20 for fwd and everything else is either local or off a forum, not to mention the online support.
So what if another 240 has an Sr? Last I checked S chassis cars came factory with them (in Japan). Sr swapping isn't some kind of flavor of the week, like K series motors in the Honda world. It's a restoration of the boosted beastness we were robbed of when we got the KA.
