Anyone riding?
Exactly. it isn't that big of an issue. It is not like they have a huge selection of stuff anyways.
I've noticed riders in VA are different. Some yeah are cool, but most seem to have a "my shit is better than your shit" attitude and come off like they got a stick up their ass. This is not aimed at you by any means but an observation i have made being back in VA. I've gone to a couple of bike nights in VA Beach and no one wanted to kick tires and shoot the shit. everyone looked like they would rather be somewhere else or they wanted to stunt on the highway, or were just straight up dickheads.

lol. thnx spindrift. like i said man, i aint trying to start any e-drama. i just wanted to know if anyone wanted to ride, and after the comment about it being a stupid thread (not knowing was a joke...), made me think of how different it was here. hope everyone reading understands. i appreciate everyone offering to ride and stuff though. lol. actually went on a ride yesterday with a bud and a member of the boards here. we got rained on and what not but at least we were able to get out ya know?
a bike night, which would be the ideal place to talk bikes <-- thats what i was thinking. i mean it wasnt like she said, get the fuck out my face, but it was a nasty look she gave to my bud. kinda half smile, half sneer. its been a while, like october/novemberish, and she prolly dont remember anyone who was out there....but back to the topic. sorry i get on a tangent easily.
was just an example anyway. dont get me wrong, ive met some cool peeps who ride, and i would be an azz myself to say everyone is a dickhead, but i have noticed the arrogant few who ride and think their shit dont stink. make sense?
so again, not meaning to bash anyone. and thanks everyone who had positive inputs.

Word from the unwise... I know that "Chick" that runs cyclegear and shes kooler than half the guys i know. And just because she runs a bike shop doesnt mean she wants to talk about bikes 24/7. Im a chef and if you wanna talk to me about a shrimp diavolo when im out riding my bike im probably gonna blow u off too. Dont clasify a whole state cause of a bad experience at a gas station. there are alot of good people out there that love to talk about bikes. But there are clicks and your military so you have a bad rep from the jump. And for all you from Cali that live in VA now, THIS ISNT CALI. your on another coast, we do shit different over here. Quite tryin to compare everything and LIVE.
PS You burned a bridge with that "Chick" from cycle gear, hope you like overpriced shit from cycleworld.
ROFLMFAO!!!

Not to mention the intrawebz beats all

This is that "Chick that runs Cycle Gear"...I am one of the coolest chick's you will ever meet...and everyone has a bad day...when you get out of work from your daily navy job, do you wanna talk about navy stuff?? Don't judge others until you get to know them, don't put a brand on all Va. people cause we are not all the same, and as far as Cali goes...Ha Ha...I lived there for four years and I thought the people out there sucked......but you find good people everywhere and ass holes everywhere too.....deal with it and move on .

I know at times when I get off work I don't want to talk cars or Subaru's. However, if I am at a Subaru event or the weekly meets and hangouts with customers and friends, I will talk shop with them and be social because that is the purpose of the hangout.
However, I think some are missing the entire point he is making.
Welcome to the site BTW.

^thats all i was trying to say. i was trying to be social and no one wanted to talk, so whats the point of going to a bike night if you are not trying to meet other riders? texting on your cell? sitting on your bike trying to look like a bad ass? what is the point in that? if you want to text, go home and text. if you want to stunt, hit the street and fucking stunt. i rolled out there to hopefully meet some like minded people, to have a good time, maybe make some friends and enjoy the atmosphere. who gives a shit what kind of day you had? the idea behind the bike nights or whatever other rider meet type shit is to kick it with riders. out of the 2 i have been to in VA( yes only 2, maybe i should go more often...), none of that happened. wtf? that was the point i was trying to make if anyone else has missed it. the biker scene here is shitty, to say the least. there are cool people, yes, and im not knocking any one of you, but they have appeared to be too few and far between. my observation, my opinions, from my perspective. even the rich motherfuckers at mother's restaurant on top of palomar in san diego would say hey and talk shit about your bike or even acknowledge you were there.
this wasnt supposed to go down as a thread to bash or judge or point fingers at anyone, honestly. i was just hoping that maybe a few people here in hampton roads would like to ride sometime. thanks woodrow for the comments and trying to help others see what i was trying to say.
moving on...

Sure thing man. Like we said on the other site(VAOT), if you can make the trip to Richmond in June for that ride to Skyline, feel free. Just a bunch of people wanting to get out and ride and enjoy the day.
