well i have the clutch masters stage 3 clutch. it has a segmented carbon /kevlar disk and grabs very well. the pressure plate is a bit stiff in everyday driving, but you get use to it. that clutch and my aluminum flywheel take a little bit of getting use to.
like stated earlier, it all reall depends on what kinda torque/ horse power figures you plan on putting down. the unsprung hubs generally have more of a tendency to have more of a harsh engagement. of course friction material types must be taken into consideration as well.
hey derek, you have a link on those iron clutches?? id be interested in checking them out.

reffering to people who just state "stage x" yada. you sir, know what clutch material, hub design, and presure plate....it just so happens the company also names it in a stage for simplicity of begginners.
i dont have a link. i just called the companies. do a search on clutch masters and you'll find their page. or look in SCC for thier ad. its listed as the "stage 5" hahah.

They don't fake them per say. In general Stage 2 will be better in some way than Stage 1. However, saying "get a Stage 2 clutch" means essentially nothing. What that means from company to company can very greatly.
On the simplest level getting a clutch that is rated for slightly more torque than your car has is how you know which to get. Of course there are more factors than that.
